About Us

Hope Community Counseling Center is a place to help people improve their health, functioning, and relationships. The well-being of adults, children, couples, and families are improved by offering effective and affordable professional counseling services for those who need them. Consultation and coaching for individuals and community workshops will also be offered on a variety of topics.

HCCC is a ministry of Midland Valley Church of the Nazarene (MVCN). HCCC is not a group practice. The counselors are independent contractors and as such are not employees of HCCC or MVCN.


Jay Earles, PsyD, ABPP

Jay is a clinical psychologist with a specialty (clinical health psychology) in assisting people with chronic medical conditions improve their well-being. He previously worked as a clinical psychologist in the US Army for over 20 years. Jay works with adults and couples to improve their lives and relationships. He has completed specialty training focused on helping people with chronic diseases and pain conditions.

Education:
Jay received his Doctorate in Psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology, Biola University

Darrell Jones

LISW-CP, MPH, BCD

Darrell is a Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience helping people recover from various forms of trauma. He previously worked as a clinical social worker in the US Army and US Public Health Service for 24 years, with an additional 6 years of service in the Army National Guard. Darrell works with adults (ages 17-85) to help overcome many barriers of self-efficacy and couples to improve communication and inter-dependency.

Education:
Darrell received a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver in 2003 and a Master Degree in Public Health from Georgia Southern University in 2018 with an additional 2 yrs of doctoral education in clinical psychology.

Michelle Adams

Michelle Adams, LCSW

Michelle Adams is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both GA and SC. She uses creative interventions such as play, art and sandtray therapies to help children, teens and families with the difficulties that life brings. She also uses CBT and Trauma-focused Counseling to help you learn new skills to manage stressors. Her experience includes working with at-risk families, youth and adults in a variety of settings to provide individual, family and group sessions and a variety of parenting services.

Education:
Michelle received a Masters of Social Work degree from Florida State University and a Bachelors in Science in Communications from the University of North Florida.

Larry Glover

Larry Glover is a Pastoral Counselor. He is a retired US Air Force (USAF) certified behavioral health counselor and drug and alcohol substance abuse counselor with over 35 years of experience working with military Service Members, retirees, and families. He retired from his DOD civilian behavior health technician position at Eisenhower Army Medical Center's Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic to devote more time to his ministry, motivational speaking and mental health outreach initiatives. Larry is the senior pastor at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship Baptist Church in Augusta, GA.

Education:
Larry received his Masters Degree from Liberty University in Pastoral Counseling, Crisis and Trauma Management

Professional Qualifications:
He was a behavioral health technician in the US Air Force and as a civilian at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center
